If you are looking for a soda that is as delicious as it is unique, grab a Tamarind Jarritos. It is, without a doubt, the best Jarritos flavor. If you’ve never had tamarind, it’s a tree fruit that almost looks like a peanut and is sweet, tangy, and truly one of a kind. That being said, you might’ve had tamarind and not realized it. That brown sauce that comes with your samosas at an Indian restaurant? That’s tamarind! Jarritos’ drinkable rendition of the fruit tastes kind of like pear but 1,000 times better.

Best Citrus

The unbelievable aroma almost surpasses the flavor when it comes to the grapefruit Jarritos. It smells so good! Luckily, the taste is also great. It is incredibly bright and citrusy. This would pair perfectly with something hearty, like an extra cheesy bean and cheese burrito or carne asada tacos with lots of diced onion and cilantro. This would also be incredible incorporated into a cocktail. This plus tequila with a squirt of fresh lime? Hell yes. Out of all the Jarritos, I think this one is the most versatile.

Best Subtle

If you’re looking for a fruit-based soda that’s on the sweeter side, the pineapple Jarritos is a great option. It is sweet without being overly sugary, especially for a soda. The pineapple taste is light but still very much present. I think this Jarritos flavor would be perfect for anyone who isn’t crazy about soda in general. This is a soda for the seltzer crowd—and I mean that in a good way!

Best Surprising

For me, Coca-Cola is king. It is the one cola I pledge my allegiance to. It’s what I want when I eat pizza. It’s the drink I reach for on a hot summer’s day. That was before I tried Jarritos’ Mexican Cola. This drink is giving Coca-Cola a run for its money. It’s totally different and really interesting. It is a little fruitier than most other colas I’ve tried. It’s what I imagine the actual kola nut (aka the thing cola is based on) tastes like. Go grab one of these ASAP and let me know if it’s good with pizza.

Best Classic

Lime Jarritos tastes like Sprite-ier Sprite. It’s bright green, which is super fun, and it’s also super lime-forward, which is super delicious. My favorite aspect of the Lime Jarritos is that it tastes like real, natural lime. There’s no artificial twang or aftertaste. It adds the perfect acidic boost to a rich meal. It’s probably the most refreshing Jarritos we tried and I will be reaching for it again in the future.

Best Refreshing

Before this taste test, I exclusively bought the mandarin Jarritos. I love orange-flavored things and I thought this was the one true Jarritos for me. After this taste test, I now know I’m wrong. It is not the best Jarritos flavor. It is, however a very good Jarritos flavor and I stand by that. It has a nice citrus bite. This is another flavor that I think would absolutely rock in a cocktail. I’ll continue to buy the mandarin Jarritos, just not exclusively.

Best Flavorful

The mango Jarritos was one of the fruitiest and strongest flavors we tried. I would categorize this taste as being for mango lovers, not mango likers. But if mango is your jam, buy this the next time you’re getting Mexican takeout for dinner. Plus, the smell of this one is completely euphoric. I would wear a mango Jarritos perfume.
